Ready for takeoff

On the plane- finally! Gotta love British Airways! Great staff, let us load early even though our kid is certainly old enough to manage herself. We even got blankets and pillows and toothbrushes and free headphones! 

Jess is beside herself with excitement; fortified by the bag of candy that dad bought her just before boarding. I’m feeling vaguely sick from the yellow fever vaccination earlier today and I’m certain I’ve forgotten something absolutely critical. I think grant is already asleep and I’ll be following his lead in a moment. Really hoping the screaming baby a few rows up and the four siblings fighting next to me without any sign of parental intervention fall asleep very very soon!!!
